Objective & Purpose
All of this content find in this site is part of the 11 40 00 project specifications. All thought it is part of the specs, we have found that it gets disregarded too often. The intent is to organize it here for full access during project duration provided to dealers project teams in an easy organized fun format, with search capability as well as access to all exhibit templates mentioned in specifications to assist in your project process, submittals and closeout procedures
The proper sequence of coordination, communication, scheduling, installation, operation and maintenance of foodservice equipment will help eliminate unnecessary service issues and will facilitate the professional completion of the project. By creating a sequence of work for this foodservice project involving proper process and defining expectations, responsibilities and sequence upfront is critical for project success.

Bid, Win & Supply Per Specs
SHG is an FCSI member consultant and follows single line spec approach specifically engineered to project needs.
Should there be any reason to provide alternates, SHG Alternates form needs to be filled out and used.

Follow the Process
To your best ability, use this process established by SHG and as written in the specifications. This is part of your project contract that you have won. This is not just basic boiler spec material. This is designed to be a resource and guidance for a successful project flow and offers priceless & critical steps.
Communicate & ask Q's!
We are here to help. Don't let there be any hesitation to ask questions or obtain clarifications. You might be required to follow a communication protocol by your contract holder and may need to submit them through those channels.
Use Form Templates Provided
There are at-least a dozen various forms and templates mentioned in the written specs and made available here in this resource site. By contract you are required to use them starting with the Alternates Form and completing with the Service Agency Listing report upon project closeout.
Take Ownership!
SHG has committed often up to 2 years on designing these projects. Now we are passing this creation on to you. Please take care of it! Please put your heart into it. We all want our clients big investments to come to fruition and all of us see a successful project outcome.
Contribute and Provide Feedback
We want to know what works and does not. You are in the field with the experience delivering these projects. You interact with GC's and all related trades. We hold an annual survey of all dealer partners. Please let us know if you want to participate. We are always open to ideas how we can keep improving our specification sand or defining responsibilities in specs to insure clean project execution by all parties involved.
Flag any Spec Issues!
Especially if you are bidding, don't knowingly omit a critical components, accessory because it was not specified or missed in the specifications but you know its critical for the units operations/function. Point it out! Submit an RFI, etc.
